What is a tax proration? Today, Kevin Mitrick, an attorney with Spain, Spain, & Varnet P.C., joins me to answer that question. Kevin handles real estate law for both buyers and sellers. In our area, taxes are billed bi-annually and based off the previous year. When a real estate transaction closes, there will be some taxes that have not been paid yet.
